So a simple question but I have been "out of it" for almost 1/2 year. At that time (Xmas 2012) I was going to install X2.
 
Now I am reading my notes to myself from Dec 12 and there is a note to install a "hotfix" after X2 install which is very important to fix crashes. However, I cannot find anything more in my notes about this.
 
I am going to install X2 now and then I see above there is a X2a update.
 
Is that pretty much it (aside from Rapture, etc.) or do I need this hotfix?

Skip the hotfix, it was rolled into X2a. Download and apply X2a instead.
