Hi, Pragi. Good to see you as well. I had taken a bit of a break from the forum for a couple months to work on some music theory and more general studies on music production. I hope you have been well. Cheers.

@Karl... Ah, good. Thanks for that. I'll make an attempt at some of those. This is a bit of an odd situation as I'm treating the entire set of 20 tracks as one long project for now so that could be causing some issues. I also had been aligning the first kick hit and then using snap offset but then I thought it might have been unnecessary so stopped. I'll go back to doing that. A couple problems that are problem messing things up is how much this stuff drifts and the fact that the kick flams quite a bit due to the style of music. I'll be taking a closer look to see how I can work around that. It is however mostly working once I get going. Just this one song is so all over the place it's confusing Sonar. Splitting it into sections seems to be helping. Thanks again.

Oh and I was thinking of snagging you SWA stuff on top of the Overloud MarkII Bass plug to push me over $100 for the 20% discount but the sale ends right before I get any more money. Always the way. Still very interested in snagging those at some point though. I like your teaching style and cheeky voice. ;-p

This isn't working for this track at all. Just went through a massive section with everything seemingly where it was supposed to be and it would throw error messages. If I snipped stuff sometimes it would extract the tempo but it was a mess in tempo view. The pallette kept freezing up as well. Very frustrating. However I think I MAY have found a much easier solution that isn't dependent on the kick track or relying on tempo detection/audio snap. For some reason I overlooked the "Set Measure/Beat at Now" option of the time ruler (right click in lower half of the ruler). Seems I can just put the Now Time where I think the beats should be, select that and Bob's my creepy uncle. If this works it will be a FAR better solution than my current bug ridden nightmare. I will report back with my findings.

Okay, this is a million times easier. No audiosnap or tempo extraction needed. I've just got my kick track expanded up top near the ruler for reference, hit play to find my 1:1 beats, place the timeline just before the transient (and double check by ear that it is indeed the one and not an off kick hit), press Shift + M, make sure it is set to the correct measure/beat and click OK. Everything after the adjustment reflects the new tempo while everything before it remains as is. I can see it all in the tempo map and I am just motoring through it now. Awesome. Hurray for trial and error and a little bit of pig headed tenacity. Hopefully I'm not overlooking something that could screw up but I don't think I am. This is EXACTLY what I was hoping for. Cheers guys.
