Pretty Much Everything
Written and performed by Ed Kocol and Daryl Greenway
Guitar by James Griffiths
Backing Vocals by Elizabeth Greenway
V1
We met in an unusual way
It took some time to set up a day
Where we could share who we were
i think my reluctance was premature
She approached and I resisted
She ignored me and then persisted but no,
i was not playing hard to get, I'm not sure i believe in kismet anymore
Ch
She's pretty much everything to me
One look from her and my heart skips a beat
She's pretty much everything to me
V2
Our first date was meant to be under an hour
Time seemed to grow just like a wild flower
I knew right then that she was a catch
I wondered if she thought us a match
We talked of our lives up to then
She asked if she could see me again but
No, I was not playing hard to get, I was starting to believe in kismet once more
Ch 2
She's pretty much everything to me
(All that and a bag of chips)
One look from her and my heart skips a beat
(One that is carefree)
She's pretty much everything to me
All of my friends said if she was the one, then my search for love would be done
V3
After getting together on our last date
We started to sense we had sealed our fate
Of living together 'til the end of our days
Loving each other forever and always
It seemed when I said that I loved her
i thought I was certain I heard her purr
Now I'll not need to play hard to get, I once again beleive in kismet for sure
Ch3
She's pretty much everything to me
(All that and a bag of chips)
One look from her and my heart skips a beat
(One that is carefree)
She's pretty much everything to me

Brilliant.  If you want a nit to pick, the drums might be a bit too hot/splashy.  Or maybe it's the master EQ needs a little taken off the top end.

Great collab guys.

Daryl lurves to make a splashy entrance.

Cool song! Great lyrics and production. I had to google Kizmet...that's not in the typical Arkansan lexicon I'm afraid. Learn something everyday.

Hey you guys weren't monkeying around on this one :)  As always Daryls production is beyond any critique. I think you both hit a home run ( or scored a volley ) on this one! I always like to hear what you came up with next!

I was half waitying for a funny kind of song. This is a really well done seriously nice song! Maybe you could continue the song in to the older years to see how things get after 50 years or so....or maybe that isn't such a good idea;S

Great production guys.
Im not usually keen on that vocaloid type style of lead vocals, but it suited that song very well though.
I don't know how you manage to get those drums sounding that good? They sound real. Are they?

NIIIIICE! I'd bring up that little guitar solo a tad. Wish it were 1980's, this could be a one hit wonder. Squeeze!!!
Congrats on this.
