HotDamn Gonzo! Perfect sound on my system. I cranked this puppy up so all my neighbors could hear! The louder the better it sounds
alright bill! crank it!
that's the way it was meant to be played, loud and proud!!
as a matter of fact, it DOES sound better louder,
i'm still learning how to mix so it sounds good quiet and loud,
not there yet
i spend a good amount of time mixing at low volume, and mixing in the cans,
but make all final tweaks at 85db, which is pretty loud in my little studio.
Beagle
loved it from the intro, Gonzo, got my attention from the start!
guitars, vox are great as always. drums are sitting right in the mix. bass is excellent
great mix, great song!
thanks a lot beagle.
glad you got attended!
LOL
this was a Superior Drummer 2.0 mix, one of my first when i got the program.
typically, i'll do the rough arrangement, get the basic drums down, then freeze the synth and track to the temporary audio,
seems to free the computer up a bit.
then, once i'm through tracking, i'll go back and re-write drum parts, to more suit what i ended up playing.
mostly, taking stuff out, rather than adding.
then, i output each drum track to it's own channel, and mix it old school, NOT thru the superior mixer, which still sounds good,
but i use 24 bit raw drum files, and eq them with my own set of eq and compression.
it does sound good.
i just need to build a custom kit, and need a few more expansion packs to get all the sounds i really want.
Starise
Great track Bat! I loved it. Reposted.
thanks a lot starise, appreciate the solid response, and love to be reposted!
:)
Waltenstein Studios
Dark and with serious attitude. Battastic!
really glad you dig this, waltenstein.....
got some even better stuff coming down the pike
polarbear
This is freaking killer! Man. Sounds pretty much exactly like a song that would have been huge in the 80s. Would love to see it performed live.
thank you polar bear, glad you dig it.
this would be hard to pull off live, without at least 2 other guitar players!!
as it is, i like the 'studio' approach versus trying to write something that can be pulled off live...
i guess a solid live version of this would be just one big wide open guitar part,
covering bits and pieces of all the different recorded parts.
