Mixing is the such cumulative learning processes.
 
The software keeps getting better, the plugs are more CPU efficient and the PC's are getting so much faster.
For me the sound quality of these libraries has made mixing so much easier. My only complaint would be that there are so many sounds to audition. It can be insanely time consuming.
 
Having YouTube videos to access also doesn't hurt when trying to learn how to use all this stuff.

Well, I had totally forgotten about this tune.  Good memory and a fine production.  From what I remember, I think I like your cut better.  You really put together a nice cover tune. Great vocal! BUT WAIT, the next tune "What You Won't Do For oLove" came on.  Man you rocked that great song.  It always makes me feel good when I hear it.  I must have some great memories connected to that song.  I wish they weren't suppressed!  I loved it, Mark!!  Now ROCKETMAN!  I'm not a big cover fan but you blew these away.  Great work!  Do you use musicians or do it all yourself?  I'm glad you're up here.

All my tracks are midi, with an occasional real guitar solo. I do all the vocals and producing. Once in a while I'll grab a midi file from the web and then re tweak the whole thing until it works with my software sounds.
I need to start posting some of my original tunes. I recently moved cross country so I'm still unpacking.
