Pardon me for not rejoicing about this great new feature 5 months ago when X2 was released. It's awesome.

I was just re-watching the CakeTVLive Seth and Brandon X2 introduction (1hr 20 mins or so length).

Their demos have such great content! It's been very helpful for me to watch through all 4 of their free videos again to remember some of their tips.

At just about exactly the 51 minute mark in the X2 Intro video they spend a couple minutes on FX chains in the ProChannel, which is a new feature in X2.

I realized I hadn't fully started using that capability. Their demo on that topic just really turned the light on for me. 

It's like I just realized a whole fresh reason to appreciate X2.

Don't ignore the newer videos at CakeTV. There is a whole video on FX Chains and many more subject specific videos.

However, in this case, I will slightly disagree and restate my initial comment.
 
It's because Seth and Brandon are personable, actually demonstrate what they are talking about, and add insightful commentary while presenting on the CakeTV Live segment on X2 that I became freshly inspired by the new ProChannel FX Chain capability this morning.
 
I had previously watched through the CakeTV specific bits which I'm glad are there for a reference. Unfortunately, the FX Chains specific piece on there is narrated by that super boring textbook sounding guy. He is so uninspiring.
 
Regardless of who presents it though, the feature is fantastic and I'm glad this morning I totally woke up to why I should totally be using it. So my compliments to the Bakers for putting that in X2.

LOL! You're soo me! I feel exactly the same way which is why when I make my recording videos for clients, I always keep it interesting as well as adding in a little humor. You know...it pains me to say this, but I dropped out of college because of the "boring textbook guy" who called himself a professor. I just couldn't stomach it even though it was ME who would be in the wrong there. I just can't believe that people feel the need to be wrapped so tight they squeak when they talk.
 
Seriously....it's a total downer. No wonder why our youth of today could give a crap about school. It's bad enough kids are forced to go to school (which I'm not disagreeing with)....it's even worse when we have to "monotone" them to death on top of it. I feel the same about every aspect of life when it comes to teaching or presenting. I'm not saying a person needs to be a clown...but sheesh, there are so many fun ways you can get through to someone without sounding like Ben frickin' Stein. But that's just me. I urge Cakewalk to hire me for their video presentations just because people will laugh at my accent and actually learn something while laughing. I'm also cute and cuddly and make a great vid to watch as your falling asleep. No wait, I didn't mean it that way! :)

Hey thanks Mike - that's great that you posted those.  I'm kicking myself for not realizing how the FX Chains can really be a great tool for both sound and time saving.  Thanks for posting some of yours.
