I'm using the new LFO Tool from Steve Duda over at Xfer Records. I'm just having an issue making it work in Sonar. It doesn't sync to the host tempo. Steve sent an email explaining that the host would need to send PPQpos data to the plugin. Does anyone know if Sonar does that? If not, is there a way to enable that in a config file?

Maybe a Cakewalk employee can chime in on this?

Thanks!

Did you get anywhere with this?

I had this issue after install. you'll run into it w/ most 'tempo based' fx.

i'm dont have sonar up so this may be off but

Go to the plugin manager, highlight/choose LFO tool from the list of installed/registered VST plugins and hit 'plugin properties' (i think?) make sure the box with the something something ...'tempo based' is checked.

The other issue i had was on the 64 bit  version of sonar 8.5 only the 64 bit version of this plug in would work. hope it helps.

Check marking "Tempo based effect" in the plugin properties fror both 32 and 64 bit made them both work.

The project has to be playing back for it to be working. I got some nice side chaining going on.

Using this plugin is so much easier than dropping a compressor on one track and sending a kick that is on another track to a muted bus, and inserting a send from that kick track to that compressor on the track that you want to have the sidechained pumping action!

Let's hope they found that checkbox over the intervening two years.
