wow.
like I said, ive been in the bizzy for almost 30 years.
started as a coffee boy at TCB studio/formerly mama kin in boston, ma, when I was 15.

the most tracks I ever received for one project was 54.
it was a symphony production with narration tracks.

im glad this worked for you though.
good luck on this production man.

I've interned for years and running my own humble studio space for 10 years or so.  I am not saying I know squat haha.  But I can say that this is NOT normal for me.  A lot of extras have been thrown into this project, which is fine.  It's not my art, it's just my job to make it listenable ;)

I have seen ridiculous sessions from guys who do this on a much higher level than myself that have crazy track counts and stacks of instruments I'd never reach (yet).  5 snare samples, 20 BG vox harmonizing a single word.  Stuff like that can play maybe once in a song, but it adds up.  And sometimes it's best to bounce er down and commit to keep your head in a good space.  I'm all about committing when it comes time to do so.  Otherwise I run myself ragged.

Thanks for the insight and help!
