I did a video (AVI) and dropped it into a song I was doing but all I get is a few still frames showing up in the timeline.
IOW it does not play the video images along with my song, just the videos sound.
I read some old posts that Sonar was not a video editor but that x1 might have improved this?
What's the update?

How would one do a typical singer/songwriter video for youtube that syncs with and includes the song in the better quality from Sonar?

Are these folks who are posting in youtube just using the camera's microphone!?

Did you open up the video view? Its a window. In the video track those are called thumbnails and they are based on keyframes.

No, I didn't. I couldn't find a tutorial on it so I just hacked away at it.
I dropped the video into the video track from the browser like you do with audio
How do you open the window?

Tutorial links?
Thanks
Glenn

Hey Glenn,

I think you mentioned before that you have my SONAR X1 Power book, right?

Check out Appendix B. It talks about how to use video in SONAR.

Great! thanks guys.
Sorry Scott, I should have thought of that. I have so many great textbooks now I'm overwhelmed with sources.

SONAR Power! is your number one choice for SONAR info.

Glad you got it working!
