How do I alter the color scheme of a given track in track view?  I have one that makes the waveform on the background hard to see unless I highlight that particular track, I'm trying to adjust another track to this one in segments, it's giving me fits since its visibility disappears as soon as I click in the secondary track.

I went to Edit -> Preferences -> Customization -> Colors, but this seems to set the default for tracks in general.  (Which I don't understand, as not all the tracks of same type have the same color scheme of background and waveform colors.  Both are tracks from different frozen synths -- so they have the same default background color unless highlighted, but I note that tracks from the same synth have different waveform colors.  I would think the way the preferences is set all would have the same waverform color as well...)

Is there a way to change the color scheme for a given track?

you want to change that in the inspector and not in the preference menu.

So how do I change it in the inspector?

Press Ctrl+Shift+I to access the Track Properties in the Inspector.

Remove the check mark next to Use Track Colors, if there is one.

Then in the Colors section, click on the Foreground or Background color swatches to change the colors of the waveforms or clip backgrounds respectively.

How do you make the colors what you want all the time instead of always having to change it in the inspector. I hate the white, or whatever color it is, and would prefer my own colors without always having to change them.

Pima,
The P key for Preferences/Customization/Colors/Track View choose your fave color procedure is one of the choices still available in user color customization.True, some of the menu choices do not function, but many still do work, at least for me. Text name colors still work. Just pick the foreground & background colors of your choice for each type or number of track. Click apply and those choices should change for all projects going forward.  You may have to reboot Sonar for the settings to take hold.

Of course, Skook's suggestion above about Panu's DuckBar is pretty cool too.  I use a combination of both.
Best, HeyDan

It was in the clips section but I got there. I thought I set it originally but I guess I did not. Thanks for the reminder!
