Help! just got ready to record a track, and I notice the 'step record" option Is on. Where is the switch to revert to 'normal' record??

Right-click the Record button in the Transport module of the Control Bar or press Shift+R on your PC keyboard.

You can also click and hold on the Record button and it will open up to give you the choice between record and step record.

Sorry... that's what I meant... click and hold the Record button. Right-clicking it brings up the recording preferences. But Shift+R should work as well.

Howdy Scott - you can find that and LOTS of great tips in your books - (tee hee hee - couldn't resist).

To the original poster - Scott's books are actually FABULOUS and many many folks in the forum have found them extremely valuable.  I was just poking fun at his momentary brain fart.  (that is the first one I have ever seen for him - wish I could say the same for me, DOH)
