Shortcut keys I frequently use CTRL+SHIFT+PAGE DOWN/PAGE UP (Go to next/previous marker)
CTRL+PAGE DOWN/PAGE UP (Go to next/previous bar)
- Recommended with the right hand only.
Shift+X (X-Ray on/off) - Since Sonar doesn't remember the X-ray state with the screenset, I use this to hide my most often used VSTs Kontakt 4 & 5 every time I come back to my main screenset.
N (Assign or use secondary Snap to Grid resolution while dragging data)
- I use 1/16 for primary snap and "whole" for secondary snap (I don't seem to like SmartGrid). This way, when I want to move/copy a clip to a different location exactly at the start of the bar, I press N+Shift(+Ctrl) and drag the clip.
Ctrl+Shift+H (Show only selected tracks)
- I often use this before double-clicking the midi clip to open the piano roll view, because the track remains visible above the almost fully displayed PRV. And I just double-click the clip header to select all notes in the clip.
Shortcut key assignable commands worth assigning Help | Quick Start - I assigned this to Alt+Q.
Launch MIDI Input Quantize Settings - This opens a dialog box that allows you to change input quantize settings of ALL midi tracks at once.
View | Fit MIDI Content - The default fit content command assigned to Ctrl+F doesn't fit midi content in the regular piano roll view, but this does (so why not overwrite Ctrl+F).
Bounce To Clip - I assigned this to G (just because Studio One uses G, too)
Lock Clip Position - I assigned this to Y (
Yeah!)
Unlink Clips - I assigned this to Ctrl+Alt+U.
Center View on Now Time - I assigned this to the period key, but I don't seem to use this command at all.
Strips | Narrow All Strips Strips | Widen All Strips - I assigned thses to < & >.
