John - I bought my first Cakewalk product at Micro Center, ProAudio 9

I bought my first Cakewalk product at Staples  MC. I forget the version, I only had it for a few weeks then bought 6PE.

Now I'm really upset. LOL Staples indeed!

The Maillard Reaction

I drove 5 hours south to Thoroughbred Music to buy Cakewalk Pro Audio 6... in a 1967 VW Beetle.

No fooling.

Those were the days.

As long as we are making confessions. I bought Music creator 6 at Best Buy about 1 1/2 years ago. A lot of money has went under the bridge since then!

Nice move Cakewalk!  Hopefully Sonar will be on there too one day.

I can see more and more companies doing this cloud thing for copy protection and distribution.

Steam has incredible sales too.

It is a good move.  Masses of people see Cake in MC, Fry's, Best Buy's etc.  Other's on online sites.  Some will buy "to do music."  Improves the bottom line for Cake and brings in potential new users.  What is not to like?
