I really liked the flute. That was the first instrument I learned to play. IMHO my only thought was to bring the vocals up near the end after about 2:40 and lower the backup instruments which seemed like a little too much competition. Nice work. 

Nice melody on the verse, like that. Those drums have to go though Reece, they really don't fit the song. The verses are crying out for a simple kick/hi-hat/stick pattern, and all those toms on the chorus are just getting in the way.

Reece is working on some changes. Drums are a part of what he has been working on in the new mix. He has sent the band members several tracks to listen to and comment on. I think he is getting close to putting out another version for listen. We appreciate the comments and interest in the song.

So sorry guys, yes, my silence here means I'm working diligently on a new mix.  I'm completely reworking the drums and I think those of you who have mentioned the drums will be pleased with what I've done with them.  the vocals are the one thing that have been giving me the most trouble, but I've been working hard on getting them to sit correctly in the new mix.  I will probably have a new mix up tonight or tomorrow.  I'm still running things by the rest of the band to see what kinds of things need tweaking.

I listened, flute was great, mix needs some work, more bass?  And perhaps more reverb on the drums, they sound like they're in a box.  Rhythms are a bit disjointed in various places too (vocals and instruments), but I think the song still carries decently well.

I have a new mix up now.  I've made a lot of changes to it, completely reworking the drums, end to end, reworking the vocals so that they're centered and not spread, reduced the amount that the flute was playing and made other adjustments as needed and following your great contributions.

This is much more cohesive.
It still has a nice width, but now the vocals and instruments feel more like part of it. Nice integration and focus.
Your vocals sound more proud, up front. Nice treatment on the bgv's.
