I'm not saying I'm a huge fan of Dubstep. Some of it is good. But I am wondering how to produce that trademark wobble. I think its using some kind of modulation but not sure how to do it in Sonar. (I have Sonar Home 6XL by the way)

yep it's the "FOR" key of the speccy reworked. I collect 8 bit machines.

it's to do with the LFO rate on the synth .. that affects the wobble, that n pitch bend if you assign it.

you can make it on TAL bassline also.. but lots of synths that have 2 osc's can make it.

Although not wobble, if you're looking at some other dubstep type sounds too, this plugin, Glitch, is great and free.

Judging from the number of times I've read the question on various forums, I've come to believe that infamous dubstep wobble is the new cher effect and that it is to music what the duckface is to photography. ;)

Can you automate (keyframe) the parameters of Glitch? eg: have the frequency for example increase as the track plays...

It has been a while since I played with it but I believe Glitch uses MIDI for automation.

it's been asked before many times over the years.. except the name changes.. "new" hardly, it's a case of everyone has jumped on that bandwagon to try to get money from it.. nothing to do with the music..

same happened with UK garage and Jungle to a point.

e.g.. how to make a reece bass , with jungle..

the other craze I noticed of late is stripping back old songs to just have a singer + a piano or harp or guitar... or something like that.

some songs should never be covered...  but it does work for a few *IF* they have put in the work with the arrangement also.
