It has been a while since I played with it but I believe Glitch uses MIDI for automation.
Being kind-of new to automation and midi envelopes, I wonder how you can assign, lets say a Frequency control to a midi envelope ? I know how to draw midi envelopes for the pitch wheel etc, but not how to keyframe (automate) a control on a VST...

The plug-in has to have the ability to listen for MIDI events. I suspect Glitch will need to have the "Configure as Synth" checked in it's properties in the Cakewalk Plug-in manager, that is the usual way to get FX plug-ins to use MIDI. Then when you insert the plug-in into the FX bin, add a MIDI track and assign the output to the plug-in. The MIDI track will drive the parameters that you setup in the plug-in. I am pretty sure there is a pdf included with the product that should help.

The basic wobble is among the easiest sounds to create on most synths. Take any synth you have, create a bass patch to taste and simply assign the LFO to the cutoff. I'm by no means a synth programmer of any considerable skill and I can do it. I'm not sure which synths were included in that version but any subtractive synth will do it with ease depending on the type of "wobble". The more screeching types like skrillex uses may be harder with included plugins but there are plenty of freebies that will do the trick. personally, I'm not a fan of the direction dubstp has taken from it's roots but I suppose change is inevitable

btw, I have successfully created that sound in Pentagon, PSYNII and z3ta+(2). Never tried on any other Sonar synth but I am sure process is the same.Pentagon created the warmer style reminiscent of older dubstep type songs that were sparser in content and heavily low end oriented. Z3ta creates a greater variety, including the squelchier (is that a word) types that have migrated into pop music. It can't quite get that FM noisy growl that one can get with FM8 but I am sure a better programmer could get closer to it than me.
