  • Prefs or is it my keyboard controller?

I have a recent project with 5 MIDI tracks that all of a sudden all play at once. As usual, I have them set to omni using my Axiom 61 drivers.
Yesterday I was in the zone and didn't want to deal with the issue right then  so I would switch them all from Axiom 61 to none and continue to work on the new track I was dealing with but they kept switching back.
I'd rather just keep them set to omni and play each whenever the track is selected as usual...is there an option that could have been turned off (that I can't seem to be able to find in prefs) or could my controller be sending a message that's doing it?
Thanks my friends,
Randy

Make sure you're not manually setting Input Echo for those tracks.

There's an option in Preferences to echo the current track automatically. Press P. Choose the MIDI - Playback and Recording category. Put a check mark next to Always Echo Current MIDI Track.

Thanks Scott,
I just looked and it is checked but I did an uninstall/reinstall yesterday due to a few other weird things happening... after breakfast I'll be laying down some new stuff...I'll report back later with the results.
Thanks again Scott,
Randy

I just messed with it and it seems the uninstall/reinstall did the trick ...maybe it got unchecked somehow and the reinstalling made it default on again I dunno ...if there's a key command that switches it on and off I could have switched it off (since I can erroneously bang away on my DAW keyboard sometimes thinking I'm typing on my internet PC).

Oh well...I'll remember the first thing to check now Scott.
Thanks bud,
Randy

I spoke too soon it's doing the same thing...any other thoughts?
BTW, I made sure the option was still checked and all tracks have input echo on.
Thanks to anyone with suggestions...it.s a real pain to keep turning all these tracks off.

EDIT: turns out I was being a dumb-ass again...after turning OFF input echo on all tracks it acts as expected
