Had a weird oddity happen today in the studio. I was working on a project and decided to use one of my old (as in 1990) Waves Reverb plugins. Now I know these old plugs are 32 bit AND are DX...but they work fine on my system.
I added the TrueVerb to the FX bin in a bus. The GUI for the reverb popped up and I tweaked it to what I wanted...and closed out the GUI.
I later looked in the FX bin...and my reverb...which was still working fine....was labeled "6 band EQ" instead of "Reverb".
Here's another strange part. I can double click on the now labeled 6 band EQ and my Reverb GUI pops up just as I had it before.
BUT...if I click on the "6 band EQ" in the FX bin and ctrl+drag it to copy it to another bus or track....it is NOW a 6 band EQ and NOT reverb.
I know I know.....DON'T USE THAT OLD STUFF....LOL. But it was just strange that X2 would do this with these old "3rd party" plugins.
Probably has something to do with the fact that it's having to use a DX wrapper AND bitbridge to work in X2 64 bit...but the plugins themselves work fine. It's just the graphics that are weirding out.
