It will come, won't it?
Many HD productions have an unnaturally sharp and edgy picture quality.
I'm waiting for gadgets that bring back the analogue warmth to HD video, before I invest in any HD products
Soon everybody wants a Super VHS-emulator.

Actually Betamax was better.
(Just sayin'!)

Truth be told, I can't wait to be complaining about 4K video!  Right now I don't even have a TV in my new place (and won't until I catch up on other things like paying a friend back and getting a better car...).  Oh well!

craig - do you have a smartphone or tablet?

If so, check out the Vizio Smartcast displays.  As an example, the 43" 4K I just added to my PC was $380.

I happened to watch someone's old style TV yesterday and I couldn't believe how bad it looked - just a blurry mess of indistinct shapes and horizontal lines! But then again, that super sharp HD always brings to mind daytime soap operas, it's kind of tacky and soulless.

Try a tape emulator on the 2 bus.

Oh, I'm lovin' the fact that prices are dropping like crazy!  (And that the new TV's are finally of a higher resolution than any monitor I've ever owned.)  My eventual goal may be to kill two birds with one stone and get a nice TV that doubles as my computer monitor (or even monitors).

I do miss having enough dosh to run out and buy whatever interesting new toy gets my interest.  Oh well!

First things first!  Get a couple of paychecks.
