I am running (trying to) Sonar 7 producer on a new windows 7 PC, - 32 bit, with a Scarlett 8i6 interface. Cannot get sonar to work. Gives me a blue screen when I try play any audio. Disabled scarlett but same blue screen happens with onboard sound device (which was disabled when scarlett was default device) have a dedicated USB card, have disabled all network adaptors etc. Have updated Scarlett drivers from Focusrite site. Their help guy is out of suggestions.Anyone got any ideas - would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Evan

If there is a forum for the interface you should ask there too as it would seem your issue is with the hardware, not Sonar.

I edited this after reading the reply from Matt below. That's what I call excellent customer service when you get an answer from the manufacture on the forum. I'll certainly put them on the top of my list from now on.

If you get the blue screens with your onboard soundcard and the Scarlett disabled, then it sounds like the problem is not with the Scarlett.  If the problem was specific to the Scarlett, it shouldn't occur when using the built in soundcard and the Scarlett is disabled.

In regards to blue screens being caused Scarletts, they are not common.  Keep in mind that with vast myriad of potential Windows PC configurations, blue screens are bound to happen for some users.  This does not necessarily mean that it is a common occurrence.  There are far more Scarlett/Windows users that have no issue than there are that experience issues with blue screens due to Scarletts being connected to a system.  This being said, as I already mentioned, I don't believe that the Scarlett is the cause of the blue screen in Evan's case.
