Hi All,
Any time I use Dimention Pro it causes 8.5 to freeze and I have to close the program and reopen it to start again.  Anyone had this prob. and fixed it?
Thanks.

Hey Jonesey,
I'm using Sonar Producer 8.5 and Dimension  pro x64

I thought Dimension Pro was a 32 bit program.
I've never had it crash Sonar, but the bridge program for 32 bit VSTs is notorious for crashing 64 bit Sonar and it's the only thing that has crashed me since I got Windows 8.

The current version of Dimension Pro is available in both 32 and 64bit VST format (and has had 32 and 64bit formats for some time). If you are running the 32bit version in 64bit SONAR, you might want to consider installing the 64bit version. To the OP what version of DimPro x64 are your running?

Yea, I have both versions installed, but all the programs are listed in the x86 file so I don't know if it is using the 64 bit vers.

The 64bit version of the DimPro dll does not install in the x86 directory by default. You can see which dll is loading by looking at the path in the plug-in manager. The 64bit version is called "Dimension Pro x64.dll." Any 32bit version of a VST plug-in running in 64bit SONAR must run in bridging software. BitBridged plug-ins have the normal VST header in a separate window which is made visible by holding the SHIFT key when opening the plug-in GUI otherwise, the header is hidden.

It also might be relevant as to which Dim Pro version he's running - i.e. is it version 1.2 or 1.5?

Agreed, that is why I ask about that above.

...What a bunch of ****
Well I had 1.2 installed and was showing both the directx and vst in my plugins manager.
So I had two 'Dimension Pro's in my list when I inserted synths. I don't know if I was using 32 or 64 bit so I deleted the 32 bit one and then I found the 1.5vers update online and it couldn't find the previous version...so I had to reinstall it to update it -AHH!
What a pain! and I am not done.
