Hi Folks, Is it possible to successfully use two different types of Console Emulators in the same project? Thanks.

Sure but only one per track or bus. Not sure how this would be of benefit but it is possible.

It can be done, sure.  I use the console emulators a lot, and have meant to experiment with mixing them, but have not got round to it yet.

At the beginning I thought that I might find that each module suited certain instruments better, such as S-type for strings or N-type for electric guitar etc., and so mix them in one project.

So far I've been happy just learning which modules suit particular styles of music, so have not had time to experiment with multiple types in one project.

As far as I'm concerned, just play around with them, and if you like the sound a certain combination makes, then use them.

I had read somewhere on the internet that it was possible to achieve good results using different CEmulators on channels than on the busses. As stated by jb101 there are some subtle differences using S-type and N-type for different instruments. I wasn't sure if using a buss emulator that was different from the channel would cause some negative effect. Apparently that's not the case and that's good to know. If anyone has more information please post here. I'm fairly new to Sonar and any kind of instruction is very helpful. Thanks so much.

Sure.  You can even use multiple emulators within the same track.
