I just reported a bunch of posts by "Makak" - member for 1 day - 29 posts, all spam. They need to close that guy down or he will soon exceed Bapu's post count.

Just a thought:

This topic is like a loop of a good drum part that just doesn't end and doesn't change and no known way to make it stop playing.
There really is a Cakewalk Twilight Zone.

Please guys, stop replying in those Spam threads.

Of course, report it if you're first there, but then just let it die away until it's deleted.

why is it so bad to reply in those threads ?
there not checking views.
there looking for people to click on those links.

For one thing, replying to the threads brings them back to the top, instead of dropping off the page into obscurity.

Why can't you all just ignore the spam ? I do it all the time. Easiest solution of them all - doesn't require anyone to do anything.

Charlie, for starters is just puts their thread where they want it, right at the top of the forum.

The way Steinbergs forum works is you do have to have a registered version to post in that products forum. Example, I can only post to the LE forum as that's the version I own. I cannot post to the full version forum. Until I upgraded Wave lab I couldn't post there either, I had to post in the legacy forum. So what would happen is I couldn't post here as I am only a legacy product owner.

You can post in other parts of their forum. So here it would be unregistered people would post in the Hardware or Coffee house.
