Lets finish the sadness for a while. So here a simple problem: I selected few midi notes in PRV and now want to reverse the selection so everything else is selected instead. Must be quite simple I guess ...

Hi. Not in front of my DAW now.. Isn't it in: Edit, Select, Inverse selection?
All the best.

Nope, no such thing under Edit, Select :-(

I could have sworn that it used to be there before.
I just checked on my laptop, and couldn't find it either.
Sorry to be of no more help.

  1. Select notes
  2. Using Smart Tools (F5), Hold Ctrl+Right Mouse Button and drag over all midi notes (including the currently selected notes).

Thanks, it works !  I see it toggles the selected/unselected status of notes. But what if your track so big it is difficult to lasso all the midi notes?

To select all the notes in one key press, Select All (CTRL+A).

Well, in this case you can't do that. CTRL key have to be used together with Right Mouse. The point here is how to reverse selection in a large midi clip. Rogeriodec solution is very good but also kind of difficult to apply when midi clip is very very big.

Sorry - I should have added more detail ... I meant first select all the notes (CTRL+A) and then CTRL RightMouseButton drag over the notes you want deselected. That would leave you with all the notes selected except for the handful notes you RightMouseButton dragged over. Right? I just offered the CTRL+A as a quick method to get at all notes in a large track.
