Hello,

I downloaded and installed the rtpMIDI app on my laptop PC so I could control Sonar from another room. I also went onto the app store for iPhone and brought the AC-7 mini app that is for use with sonar, logic,etc... I also have downloaded the apple bonjour software for the PC as I read in another forum on here. The problem I am having is when I open rtpMIDI app and try to configure it to see my iPhone 4s. It sees my PC just fine and has it listed in the directory. It seems as if the iPhone is not syncing up with the rtpMIDI app, but I noticed that when I open the AC-7 mini app it shows the iPhone when I look back at rtpMIDI. It also gives the option in rtpMIDI to have my audio interface route in and out through the rtpMIDI app which I set it up to do. Now here's the issue with Sonar, I go into preferences and go to the midi controller and select Mackie Control as the controller surface. After that I go back to the main screen of the daw with the tracks and look up to the top and it shows the Mackie Control trying to connect. I already have the rtpMIDI and AC-7 mini up and running but the iPhone is not responding, it's on sonar mode in AC-7 mini. Can someone please help me set this up thanks!

There is a reset button in ac7 app. Hit that.

I found out what the problem was. In the midi section where you select the control surface there is a drop menu that allows you to select in and out. I had to select my computer in order for it to sync to my iPhone and that fixed the issue.

Cool! Glad you got it working. It's been pretty good for me the couple times I've used it.

I had to configure the control surface in Sonar to get the meters working. To have the control surface properties pop up in sonar there is a button on the same page where you had to chose the midi I/O ports to get it working. I think it says properties or something if you mouse over it. Just guessing off the top of my head.
