Why doesn't nudge work in PRV when only the clip position is locked?

I can move notes by drag-and-drop, but not by nudge (numpad keys). This isn't good.
It's not clip data that is lock, only the clip position.

Are you 100% sure that you key-binded the numeric pad for the nudge in the PRV. The PRV is independent of the track view and may and can have different key bind settings. It fooled me a few times.

Maybe that is it, hopefully,

I'm pretty sure because the nudge (numpad key 1-9, except 5 that opens Preferences) works again if I unlock clip position.

That actually does sound like a minor bug to me. If a drag operation works then a nudge should work too AFAIK. I don't think moving events inside a clip would change the clip's position?

yeah, if you look at the menu then nudge is grayed out. my guess is that the developers wanted to avoid accidentally hitting a nudge key and then calling tech support because their midi timing was off... ;)
