I hope it's ok to post this here...

I work back and forth between my Studio and laptop, and hate having to remember to "release" all my Waves licenses back to the cloud after finishing with one so that they're available to bring into the other later, and then visa-versa.

Does anyone know if there's a way to use Waves on both without having to screw around with Waves Licensing Center?

Thanks for any ideas!

Only it you install your licenses on a USB Drive,
in which case you can move them from PC to PC
without having to move them to the Cloud...

PS...you'll need to get them installed first...
so you'll either need offline installers, or
use the LC to install on both PC's and then
move them back and forth...

Thanks Larry. Insanity.

So now I need to remember my iLok, my USB for waves... No wonder people pirate.

(Not that I condone that)

I'm ALMOST tempted to install the pirated versions of the Waves plugins I legally own just so i don't have to deal with this crap... but then I'm opening myself up to:

1) Temptation
2) Crapware

Option #3, which may be the most popular solution: forget Waves. Despite the hype, there's really nothing essential in the Waves catalog that cannot be replaced by products from more customer-friendly companies. It's not 2003 anymore.

Exactly what I did - i got so fed up with WUP and endless licencing issues, even though I own quite a bit of waves stuff (Gold, GTR etc) I dumped the lot - life is so much nicer not having to deal with Waves, and as BIT says, you can get the same, if not much better elsewhere.

And here's one hoping that all things WUP will come to an end sometime ...

Bitflipper is right but only partially cause i do find the waves tools to be hard to find elsewhere in an all in one package ....stuff like imager , metering , de noiser , de esser ect .... To get the equivalent , you will have to compose with a lot of brands combinaison ....
