Actually, I downloaded the free demo version of Addictive Drums and the response is AMAZING!!!!!! Now I have to figure out how to get rid of MIDI latency which is a different issue altogether and is happening with both Session Drummer and Addictive Drums.  Thanks all for your help.

PS. Both Input Quantize and Snap were off.

There was some discussion a while ago regarding velocity response on the Session Drummer 3 - some built-in libraries seem not to scale well with velocities.
