I bought X2 last week.  I'm trepid about USING it on my studio computer because I'm running Vista.  My plan is to update the PC to Windows 8 this summer, install X2 on it and migrate forward that way. 
 
However, I thought about installing- but not actually use- X2 on this computer.  I wouldn't mind checking into some of the new features and maybe get to use the Breverb plugin in X1.  Anyone tried this?  Recommended or not?

BREVERB SONAR is licensed to work with X2 and above. It will not work in X1. If you upgrade to the full version of BREVERB, it will work in any DAW.

No, won't work. You can load it into a X1 project, but it won't process the signal.
