'Been through help files a bunch ... so please clue me in.

1) *floating timeline* like where the mouse floats around and the timeline moves.

2) <ctrl+spacebar> to <spacebar> and vice-versa

Utmost thanks in advance,

EDIT:

AIM ASSIST (per Stickman below)

Um... I have no idea what you are talking about, unless it is "Aim Assist", which is 'X'.

Utmost thanks in advance,

1) Are you thinking of the Navigator?  <Alt> <Shift> 8 or View > Navigator

2) If you start and stop with <Ctrl> <Space>, the cursor returns to the previous Now Marker location for auditioning changes.  Is this what you were after for #2?

Thanks Stickman!!!!  AIM ASSIST hahahaha!  (it was some 3 fingered deal with Sonar 853); now 50% of my sanity is 50% back.

SF_Green ... and all:

When I hit <Ctrl> <Space> I want it to do <Space> ... like it did in Sonar 853.  I thought there was a way to reverse <Ctrl> <Space> with <Space>

Anyway, thanks for your thoughts (excellent),

I believe you want to toggle the Options > On Stop, Rewind to Now Marker in the track view menu.
