No, that does not relate to the 32/64bit version of the application, that is the audio file format which both version can create. The 64bit version of SONAR is a completely separate install process. It installs in "C:\Program Files", 32bit SONAR installs in "C:\Program Files (x86)".

It's 1.5.0.5!  The first evidence I have seen that it is here.

OK, so you can run the old DimPro DXi or the new DimPro VST. In the Synth lists the DXi plugins are at the top, there should be a VST version of DimPro futher down with the rest of the VST plugins. You want to start using the VST version, it will make the transition to 64bit easier. 64bit SONAR will not recognize any 32bit DX plugins. Projects that reference 32bit DX plugins will report the plugins as missing when loading in 64bit SONAR. You will have to manually replace the plugins after loading the project in 64bit SONAR.

I see.  I will use the 32 bit version of Sonar for now, but keep that little tidbit about 32 bit plug in recognition in mind when I am ready to upgrade Ram or entire DAW.

I guess it's time to roll up the old sleeves and see what's new in this beast!

Did the Xa upgrade too.

Many thanks to you scook!

You are welcome. 32bit is best for your current setup.

A lot of the Dimension Pro multisamples are now flac files, though they were wav's at some point in the past (I don't know if the flac files are just the wav samples converted, or if they're new samples).

If you have the older wav samples you might want to hang on to them as you might save youself an on the fly conversion (?) and you'll be able to preview the samples with the Media Browser, something you can't do with the flac samples.

I converted all my flac samples to wav samples.

I will look for wave samples to convert for use in the media browser.

Another great tip.  What a user forum!

rocadani, the Media Browser can preview wav files just fine.
It's flac files that it can't play.

Converting the flac-based multisamples to wav-based multisamples is not hard,
but it's not for the faint of heart either. You have to fix the sfz files as well.

Thanks for the correction, Paul.  I'm tempted to insert the VSTi version of Dimension Pro in all of my previous projects that used Dim Pro and be done with it.
