I moved to Win 7 recently and just testing some previous tracks. I cant get Pentagon I and RXP to work.

I get "failed to insert soft synth, the synth may not be installed properly".   there are files there in the folders. Is there something I should be checking for. I did not get any errors on install. I did a clean upgrade without installing any previous versions of Sonar.

Any thoughts?

I got the same issue while trying to install the Triangle Synth.
After searching the forums, I was told to make sure you run Sonar as administrator.

Right click on the shortcut and select 'Properties'
Go the the 'Compatibility' tab
make sure you select 'Run this program as an administrator'

Hope that helps.

This forum is awesome.  Thanks for the tip.
However, this one Dxi is the only reason I would want to run SONAR with administrative privileges.
Is there an actual solution (like a way to configure or re-install the synth)?

I've been going through the same thing, only the Pentagon 1 is the only one that doesn't work. I've tried EVERYTHING  and it still doesn't work (yes running as administrator, as well as disabling all firewalls and anti virus programs as well as running msconfig and clearing the start programs). It still doesn't run.

Is it possible that Pentagon did not install correctly? You could try an advanced install, running as administrator, select only Pentagon and attempt to reinstall the synth.
