Having same issues here. Just went to save a preset in Amplitube and as soon as I type the 's' key it starts play in Sonar instead of placing the 's' in the preset name. Tried it with 'give keystrokes to plugin' enabled and disabled. No luck.

Anyone else find a work around? currently mine is, don't use any preset names that require the 's' key...

I reported a similar issue with DIVA (oddly, it works in 8.5 below). Submit a bug report via the Cakewalk problem report tool if you haven't already. This is clearly a bug with some plugins.

Well AmpliTube in X2 is still fine for me, as it was in X1d. But all the u-he plugins (Ace, Diva, Zebra2, TyrellN6) are broken. Didn't notice that before. They're broken in X1d and X2.

Yeah this is bugging me a lot, I've taken to using vsthost when i want to create new presets but it's not optimal because I can't hear the results in the context of the song I'm working on.

What you can do as a very cludgy workaround is just create a bunch of appropriately named blank presets in vsthost and then open them in Sonar, make changes, and hit the save button so you don't have to enter any names.

Keystrokes to plugin works with Melodyne 2 in SONAR X2. didn´t work in X1.

Thanks Kenneth, named blank presets is a great workaround.

Kind regards,

Still seeing the problem here.

I just upgraded my PC and installed X2 (and the X2a update) and my plugins. I installed both 32- and 64-bit versions of Rapture. The 64-bit version is already registered, but the 32-bit version isn't, and I can't type in the serial number.

With X1 I could click "Give all keystrokes to plugin," and that would allow me to paste into a field. But with X2, at least with 32-bit Rapture, I can't paste, and it looks like I better be careful never to click the 32-bit version.

Any suggestions?

Are you trying to run the 32bit version of Rapture in 64bit SONAR? If so, you should stick with the 64bit version and disable the 32bit version in the 64bit plugin manager. Run the 32bit version in 32bit SONAR. The reason a 32bit plugin does not get all keystrokes in 64bit SONAR is probably due to Bitbridge. You can get the standard VST header by holding the shift key while opening a 32bit plugin GUI. The VST header will be behind the plugin GUI. If you need to register Rapture, run the standalone version as administrator and register there.

Yes, so your suggestion makes a lot of sense. Getting the 32-bit version out of sight will solve this one.  I'm still installing plugins, and my concern is that I'll have a plugin that's only 32-bit and that I'll be stuck.

Thanks for the suggestion about the Shift key while opening a 32-bit plugin GUI.
