Ok after many weeks of working on this composition...and yes it is still not perfect, I have finished. It's a waltz for all of you over 10, in 3/4. It's in F#Dorian but the introduction is actually F# in the Egyptian scale...smoke on that! And there is some whacky chord work going on F#9 SUS 4 for one or B9 SUS 4

I don't think it's crap it is just that you have not done much waltzes so it cannot be stellar yet. Next ones will be better. Keep it up!

Interesting piece Ben. Pleasantly Oriental sounding, and some nice ideas going on with counter melody. I would defy anyone to waltz to it though.

I like the exotic sound of this, which is the strength of this piece.  However, it is not a waltz, nor is it 3/4 time.  This has potential, but is not quite actualized just yet.  I would encourage you to rethink this or move on.  You're certainly not lacking for inspiration.

Thanks guys...sorry just a bit grumpy these days.  Batsbrew...looking for nothing.  Yep time to move on, hence it's finished but not perfect.
 
Lynn are you sure you can count.  I've set the time signature to 3/4...so either i'm on some whacky drugs...and I am for ADHD or you can't count.  I think what is fooling you is, the off kilter stuff.  There is a lot of off accent stuff going on, lots of whacky 32nd notes and triplets.  It's because I played a lot of this in with the yourock guitar.  But of course I may be wrong.

Thanks Beagle, I'm learning what it is I do is go into a flow state, from here it is easy to combine all my years of work into new and quirky ideas.  I wish there was more time...one lifetime is not enough to become truly great and transcend into something new.
