i think you should lose ALL of the effects on the snare.
bone dry.
and more 'whack'.

nice guitar solo too, nice edge to it.

This is about as honky-tonk as you can get.  It's definitely a classic.  Herb, you are the gold standard for country music!  A textbook case of beautiful guitar tones and witty lyrics.
