Cinematic Studio has released Cinematic Studio Strings, a new orchestral strings sample library.
CSS features the sound of a Hollywood-style string section seated in position, and is suited to a wide range of applications due to its scoring-stage sound and easy-to-use interface. Cinematic Studio Strings is the first product of a full orchestral series: Cinematic Studio Series, which will feature the entire orchestra including piano (also out now), solo strings, brass, woodwind and percussion.
CSS is designed to have true-to-life dynamics, a wide variety of articulations (listed below), and a realistic legato engine. It was recorded with a combination of ribbon and condenser microphones at three mic distances, which can all be controlled independently via the mixer on the GUI, which also features output-routing options and reverb.
Cinematic Studio Strings has the following articulations:

• Legato, including legato repetition and portamento.
• Spiccato, staccatissimo, staccato and sfz (long staccato).
• Marcato / fast runs.
• Pizzicato, including Bartok snaps.
• Col legno.
• Harmonics.
• Tremolo.
• Trills (half and whole).
• Measured tremolo (tempo sync and free sync).
• Con sordino emulation (whole library).
