  • Last "owned" version of SONAR?

Hi All-

What’s the easiest way determine the last version of SONAR you owned? I went to My Account and it says my SONAR membership has expired, but I know at some point I had paid for a full 12 month membership and my registration screen said “owned.”

I have a new computer since then and I do have backups, but before I start downloading anything or restoring anything, I was hoping to have a way to know exactly how far back I should restore or what I’m looking for.

I haven’t read all the posts here and maybe this was covered (sorry if so.) I switched to REAPER some time ago, but I’d still like access to SONAR and my project files.

Thanks very much!

.
Can you find your receipt for when you purchased? if so count forwards 12 months and download 1 or 2 either side of that to be sure. I'm sure they all have release dates with the downloads.

.
Also doesn't it give the purchase date in your account? I thought it did.

No it gives you a registered date, that should do, count 12 from that.

[edit] it gives you a purchased and registered date on the actual download page

[edit 2] Might even be worth it to gab the very latest stuff, you never know when the release the authorization fix thingy, it may allow you to have any version, I imagine it might take a bit if everyone got a personalized fix that only allowed up to what they owned, but I don't really know, but can't hurt.

Open up Sonar and look on the about screen or look in Command Center.

Hi Matron Landslide-

Good thought. I registered Platinum in January of 2015 and it says my membership expired in March of '16, so that gives me a range. I'll also download the latest.

Thanks-

Hi Dave-

I don't have either installed on this PC, but I'll install Command Center and see if it tells me what I'm looking for or just that my membership has expired.

Thanks-

I've considered that. If I can't (easily) download and install the last Platinum version I owned, I can always install an older version and export what I need from there.

Thanks-

You don't need to re download the files again Just copy the old computers  CCC download folder to the new machine and then run CCC, it will use those files or find newer ones automatically.

The CCC download folder is found in Program Data/Cakewalk/Command center/ downloads
