Can anyone confirm this.

I'm transposing stereo tracks - songs for my band to play eg.Michael Jackson's Billie Jean.

When I transpose them using Process -> Transpose, the tracks end up being in my preferred key but mono.

Is this normal? Is there a way to keep them stereo?

You're using the wrong tool.

Process > Transpose is, as far as I'm aware, for Midi notes only (where it works perfectly incidentally)

What you need is a pitch shifter, but be advised that most of them are only good for shifting in small increments before it introduces nasty artifacts.

There is one included under Cakewalk Fx, give it a try. If the results are hopeless then you'll have to look at a 3rd party solution

Process > Transpose should work fine with audio. Make sure the Transpose Audio option is activated and then try using the Radius Mix setting for Type.

Hey Colin... no problem. Always happy to help, when I can.

By the way, to everyone that has the SONAR X2 Power! book, check out page 154 for more info on Process > Transpose and page 153 for more info on Process > Length (which contains the same audio parameters).
