But if you add measures to the front how will you know it's bar 33 and time for a breakdown?

This topic has been discussed several times. My solution that I submitted as a feature request was for the addition a second timeline ruler, i.e. one that could be customised by the user.

thanks for the tips

as suggested, i moved the clips to measure 3 and added a 2 measure midi count in in measures 1 & 2
