Really quite the silly thread, Freddie.

Now go hide under the covers and wait till they tell you it's safe to come out.

Really, we don't need any more conspiracy theories propagated.

I think Freddie is just [over]reacting to the lack of visible love between Roland and Cakewalk.

I feel uneasy about it myself.

If I were Roland and had bothered to acquire a Daw company,
I would be proud of the fact and trumpet its greatness, like they do the Boss brand, etc.

But they don't seem to care that they have a great product in hand.

I think this is surly cause and an excellent opportunity for me to post an image of some high end gear I don't own and never will

Freddie it's long past April the 1st..

tell us some good news for a change... go on make a change.

as much as you'd like cakewalk to answer your many questions e.g. how to change from multicoloured 123312 point fonts.. don't be sad when they don't

I think we all know what is really going on here. Obama is putting pressure on Roland because they did themselves in with the name X. Which is a clear violation for prescription drugs that haven't been invented yet. Imagine if drug companies had to use other letters from the alphabet to name their drugs? It is clear to me that there should be warning labels for Sonar. X? may cause extreme drowsiness it you plug in to long. Don't operate a moving vehicle if you have used Sonar after the hour of 1:30am. Let your local music store rep know that your using Sonar so he can prescribe the correct patch as other side effects may occur such as spontaneously bursting into flames because it crashed while you were tracking a really hot chick and it put a limp on your wood.

Other than that, I guess I'll wait and see what happens.

Concern User! Are Roland ending SONAR platform for good?
I think it's very unfortunate if that is true!
Things that I react on are:

*No new service updates in a very a long time?
*No real hardware controller support anymore or updates?
*Key members at Cakewalk get layoff at Cakewalk?
*No or very little communication between end-users and Cakewalk company/Staff what actually is going on with Cakewalk SONAR platform?

*************

I just want to know if SONAR is a safe investment in the future or if I need to change my investment into another DAW platform instead?
Is SONAR X2 the last SONAR DAW from Cakewalk company? Are Roland pull the plug on Cakewalk?  Very unfortunate if that is true!

Thanks in advance!
Best Regards
Freddie

Freddie, I don't think there is reason for concern...

I was going post a sarcastic remark about Music Creator Touch being nothing more than the X2a patch applied to Music Creator 6, but I decided to check out the new product (to see if they mentioned anything about Staff View - and no, they didn't).

But I decided to watch the introductory video of Music Creator Touch, when I stumbled upon something fascinating - here's a screenshot - notice anything interesting?  I guess it hints at a couple issues - Roland's commitment to Sonar and whether or not there will be an X2b patch, or maybe just a paid upgrade to X3 (and to think I just upgraded to X2 a week ago...):

Thanks for that info my friend and taken post and concerns seriously. I will check out the video.

Best Regards

I think you already know the answer and just like to stir up trouble, Freddie. LOL!
Just kidding... I know you're a good guy.

Cakewalk actually just released a new product based on the SONAR technology... Music Creator Touch http://www.cakewalk.com/Products/MusicCreator/

So... I don't think they're going anywhere just yet.

Scott

Hi Scott!
I hope you are right! I know my post sounds like trolling thread but I'm actually concern about this, no joke.
I like to hear it official response about this matters if that is possible from someone at Cakewalk US?

I'm sorry if my thread seem silly?
I'm not trying to make conspiracy theories propagated. My question is legit and I'm truly concern.
Still no official response.
