I'm using a tascam US1800 and I would like to create 2 different playback feeds, one to the unit and the other to my computer.  I can select EITHER the computer or the US1800 from the preferences but it won't let me have both as output devices.  Can anyone help me please.

If you mean sound card audio interfaces, you can only use one in ASIO mode. If that is what you mean  by playback feeds. If you just want to feed it to 2 different locations, just set up the routing in sonar, if your sound card has 4 outs

Perhaps you should try to explain why you want to do this exactly. By sending audio to "the computer,"  I am guessing (as CJay seems to have done) that you want to use the computer on board audio interface for something at the same time you are using your USB audio interface. It is difficult to imagine what the purpose of that might be, but there is a high probability that anything you can accomplish that way would be possible by routing through the USB device.

If not, then a software interface like Virtual Audio Cable may do what you want.

Thanks for the reply's here's why I ask: I'm in a band and we use Sonar X2 and the US1800 live instead of a mixing desk so that we can record our gigs and it works great but I want to send a seperate monitor feed (and mix) to the computer so that it can be bluetoothed to headphones for gigs where the PA is in front of us so I don't need to lug a seperate amp and monitor speaker.  

Sussed it - switched driver to WDM/KS (should have tried that in the first place sorry) - just need to try it live and make sure there are no latency issues :)

That interface has 4 outputs. #1 Run the Tascam's output 1 and 2 into your main amp's L and R (as I imagine that you are already doing) #2 Setup a new bus within sonar(call it something like "Monitor")and feed that to output 3. (make sure output 3 is active in sonar's audio preferences) #3 Plug whatever is sending out the blue tooth signal onto output 3 on the Tascam. #4 Adjust the send level on something like vocal channel so it is feeding your monitor bus and it should work.

Yeah that's how we're doing it. The BUS is set up it just that it is the laptop that sends the bluetooth signal - that's why I didn't want to monitor through the Tascam.  Unfortunately though it only supports 1 set of headphones so it's no good for a full band.

I have an alternative in the form of a USB radio transmitter but Sonar won't use it.  I think the only alternative is to pull the monitor out of the Tascam and feed it into a 2nd laptop that has the FM transmitter on it...  But I would imagine the latency will be dreadful - if its not though its definitely easier to simply take another laptop than it is to take an amp and monitor speakers.  It also means I can stick to the ASIO drivers which seem more stable.
