I am slipping a bit guys. I still need to thank everyone for comments on the last song and listen to your songs...and I will do that.

I wanted to post a link here to a recent song between myself and  Andra Stephan. I know there's too much reverb. I'm curious about what you guys would do with reverb on this. Any special techniques you use? It seems passable but I want better than passable...all suggestions welcome and appreciated! Other than backing it off I need to come up with the right delays IOW the right reverb for the job.

How do you use reverb?

Do you have a single reverb or does each have it's own?

Personally I use a master reverb that acts as a glue to bring all into one space.  Then if individual voices or voice groups I will either add a bus for groups or individually but then it is very sparse.

Sounds like you know this needs some tweaks but you have a great start.

I had previously commented on soundcloud, but will expand here.  I like the "overly wet" production on this, and feel that it complements the intertwining parts well.  I wouldn't change it. :)  Stick a flag on it and claim it as new territory for your future productions!

Yeah, I wouldn't change it at all. I think the verb adds a lot to the overall mood...and the violinist is a fantastic player!

Wookie-  Thanks for responding! I'm using Valhalla room on a reverb send. I have tried various settings and send levels and can't get no satisfaction. Nothing seems to fit...but it did seem too much this last time. I usually don't have any difficulty in setting a reverb, just wondered what it was that you guys liked/used. Valhalla is usually my go to.I don't usually mix violin. I had thought a concert hall would be the best fit....but maybe a smaller one?

Walt- You're a real sport! I appreciate your SC comment...do you mind giving a second opinion on a private track? I think I might try something else and see if it's an improvement. Thank you!

kakku- Thank you! I might make it worse and should probably let well enough alone. Andra liked this version.

Clint- She is incredible on that violin for sure! Thanks!

Of course, send it on and I'll be glad to listen.

Beautiful strings - well-performed and mixed, like everyone's saying.  My only mix suggestion would be to make the acoustics a little dryer - if you're touching it at all that is, and take that with a grain of salt.  Really like the ending you have here.

Really nice Tim - dream like.
I'm listening on crappy speakers but I will have another listen tonight.
