Thanks guys for your comments.

I heeded the suggestions...I didn't want to change it too drastically, but I did remove some reverb and slightly bring out the acoustic more....this is now posted as our main track.

Others may differ, but I prefer the first mix (although they seem pretty similar).  I think the added definition in the 2nd mix takes away from the fluidity a bit.  Both are nice though. :)

I like the reverb on this, it suits the track really well. Very nice piece, really evocative, and excellent violin work. Reminds me of 'Secret Garden', an Irish/Norwegian duo.

Walt- Many thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

James- Hmmmm...an Irish/Norwegian duo?  Sounds interesting! Thanks for your thoughts on this!

Like has been said many times before, I quite liked the generous amount of reverb on the first version, really suited the style of the music.

STARISE...
i like the reverb,
but i think i know what you are after.

try this:

put your valhalla on it's on bus,
and use sends from each track, to the valhalla reverb bus.

either in the valhalla plug (i do not know this plug) or in the bus EQ section,

EQ the reverb:
roll off everything above about 5khz, and everything below 500hz.

then, re-set all the sends from the tracks, in the amounts you need.

see if that works.

great tune, really nice.

The violin parts remind me of some of the violin on some Patrick O'hearn albums...very dramatic and emotional...great job...I think your mixes are louder than mine and I'm a loudness monster... ;) -Shawn

It seems like the strings (violin solos) are a bit hot.  I turn down the volume and they still sound loud.  Could just be me.  Reverb sounds fine to me but that's another personal preference.  Parts of it sound like a bit from the movie "The Village" but not enough to be a copy.  I notice it because I love that movie and sound track.  It's only a measure or so.  This is very nice Tim.
