All,
After having to reload all my software onto my PC, I can't get Sonar to find my M-Tron VST.

I point it in the right direction, but it just won't see it.

It used to see it OK.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks!

Try manually moving the .dll file to Cakewalk's VST folder.

Check your excluded plugs list in plugin mgr to see if it failed scan?

Will it run in stand alone mode?

This is kind of awkward, but in the past when I had that problem I created a sub-folder for the missing VST (you might name it "M-Tron") in the main VST folder, and specifically had SONAR scan that.  Might work.

Good luck!

Reset/rescan VSTs.

If that doesn't help, it wouldn't hurt to do an uninstall/reinstall on the plugin (Don't forget to Run as Admin).  Then reset/rescan again.

Thanks everyone - I'll give the ideas above a try later.

It does work as a standalone - but I had to manually add a couple of files. MSVP71.dll or something.

I think you should reinstall if you had to add files just to make it work in stand alone mode.
