You DO, hear it twice since by the laws of physics it would be nearly impossible for you to be in a position where you could hear it at the same time in the ears. 
 
If it weren't for that, I am not sure that a lot of music would have been as good. It's the incredible little things that make it appealing and different and enjoyable. Forget that solo!

I actually said it, because there was a GOON SHOW, where Spike Milligan playing Eccles went on and on, about this. It was similar to his famous bit about "What time is it?
 
I guess it was funnier done by that character (Eccles) than here! Humor here, sometimes, is not allowed by anyone except a select few with golden bloomers and moobs!
