Thanks...yes it's in the folder, the patch is just for x1 expanded which i don't have, yes the cakewalk fx series seems to be missing. I'll try running as admin & see if makes a difference

I see...my build is 185 not 319 as the link specifies. Does that matter?

Yes, it means you need to apply the X1c patch http://www.cakewalk.com/S...reader.aspx/2007013250 before applying X1d. I am not sure if it will address the TTS-1 issue, that is more likely an original install or permissions issue.

X2 Reference Guide says,

"Previous versions of SONAR required a user to have Windows Administrator status. This is no
longer the case. Any level of user can now install and run SONAR."

Maybe this made the OP (and me certainly) think that it's not necessary to "run Sonar as administrator."

Also, as I suggested earlier, Edirol synths are no longer supported (Vista was the last compatible OS). I used to use Edirol Orchestra, but I believe there wasn't a VST version.

I, too, used to use Edirol Super Quartet and alas it doesn't even install on Win7. Cakewalk Studio Instruments is a decent replacement IMO (although I prefer Session Drummer for the drums).
