I reported this bug back in X1(b?) through Cakewalk's bug report tool, but nothing ever came of it: When I open a session, and perform some editing, especially such as Audio snap, or some other clip editing, if I immediately go to Export the Audio, select Entire Mix, and Export, many times, the only audio exported is the track I last edited. To get around this, I save the Project, close it, re-open it, and then export.

Is there a sound way to sort of reset Sonar's focus to the entire Project before exporting, so that "Entire Mix" works every time?

Surely I'm not the only one who's run into this one.

Its not a Bug!

You need to select all the track. Your problem is you have focused on the last track and that is the only track that is selected. As the help file says, just CTL A to select all tracks and then select your timeline and you'll export the entire song. sonar exports exactly what you tell it to.

Nah, I can't subscribe to that notion, though. When opening the project and immediately going to Export, I don't have to select any of the tracks. Maybe there's a keystroke to unselect, but Entire Mix should do what it suggests.

Ok, don't listen to the correct answer. Why even ask if you do want to listen to the correct answer??

Good luck!!

Ok, so, Ctrl+Shift+A is what I need to do (unselecting all tracks). Maybe Cakewalk will get savvy and add "Selected Tracks" as a Category vs. doing this with a Misleading "Entire Mix" in the Export.  Sorry, didn't mean to be brutal, but selecting all tracks isn't what I would expect we'd have to do in any DAW. In this case, it's quite the opposite, and for Cakewalk to have left this as-is for this long seems counter-intuitive to me. At least I can avoid having to re-open the session again. Thanks!

Entire mix is the source of your export. That doesn't mean it will select all the track in the project automatically. As in the manual/help file, you need to select the tracks you want for export, select timeline, then select the export source you want. Selecting track and source is 2 different things.

FastBikerBoy (Karl) in the SWA videos suggests unselecting all tracks, which would make more sense to me, but I guess either would work. I would always have assumed that "Entire Mix" meant just that. I'm blind and dumb, I'll admit it.
