I've got a double tracked clean guitar on a single track (left side is a different performance to right side) and I want to use two amps in Guitar Rig so I can something slightly different to one side.

I put two amps into the GR rack and put the Split tool in between them (amp, Split, amp, from top down) - I have the 'Split L/R' button clicked and I'm panning hard L and hard R, I'm still hearing it all summed to the center.

Anyone know what to do?

I could split the track to 2 mono tracks and add an amp to each track but I'd like to know how this is done when the situation is as described.

Thanks - rev

Do you also have both L and R buttons turned on in the GR IN at the top of the GUI?

I tried that. No difference, in fact nothing makes any difference.

The Split L/R button ON or OFF, makes no difference, neither does adding the R IN at the top of GR and neither does playing with the pan knobs. I don't get it.

I found one of the presets that uses this method, the split needs to be in two places, one for each side. I'll use the preset as the basis for my own and then save it.

Thanks!

I feel like summarizing better than the above:

Clear the rack then add the Split
Then put components between the two channels, such that you get this:

Split L
Amp
Cab
Stomp, etc
Split R
Amp
Cab
Stomp
Split Balance
