I like sonar and music creator 6 so far. But i do have a question, and if anybody can answer it i will appreciate it. The problem im having is when i finish a song it sound good and clean, and when i export it and it plays on windows media it sounds great...even when i play it from reverbnation through my pc speakers it sounds normal...This issues im having is when i convert it to a video format through windows media for youtube it really distorts my voice to a point my words are unrecognizable...or when i listen to the track through my cell phone it does the same...Even though on reverb it sound great through my pc speakers, it sounds crappy through my cell phone. Any suggestions on how to fix this would be appreciated! Thanks...

Welcome to the forum.

video format through windows media for youtube

So how are you converting it to video format?  You haven't really given anyone enough technical information to even begin to understand what problems you mught be having.

Thanks!! Well i midi my vocals and instrumental after im done of course...Then i export it, its exported in wav file. Ive tried to upload on sound cloud in wav format and my volcals are really distorted on there. And when i try to do a video its distorted on there also. So i converted filed to Mp3 and it does the same. Its weird because on sonar everything sounds fine, even when i play it on windows media player it sounds fine....Only when i upload to sound cloud/reverbnation or try to make a youtube video does the audio start to mess up. But on reverb nation ive got it to where it will sound fine through my pc speakers, but when i listen to it on my cell phone my vocals sound really messed up. As far as anything else i really cant explain much else...I mean cause i dont know what im doing wrong. At first i thought it was my mixing...But the volume levels are the same and such. But i will say that the instrumental when the pan is centered the sound is equal in both speakers...But when i record vocals my vocals come outta my left speaker more and i gotta adjust the pan to make my vocals equal with the instrumental!

What on earth do you mean by: " I MIDI my vocals and instrumental after I'm done, of course".

My imagination isn't capable of even starting to find an explanation to that.

In order to export a file you have to first Midi the track! There is really no need to be a prick...If you dont know what im talkin about just move along....

There's no need to be abusive & Kalle is absolutely right in asking that question.

In order to export a file you have to first Midi the track!

This is complete rubbish! And I'd like to know the steps involved to 'Midi a track'

I'm sorry if the limitations of my imagination offends you :o)

Honestly, I've been playing with DAWs for 20 years. This is the first time I hear about "MIDI'ing" vocals as an "of course"-procedure before exporting.

When im done recording my tracks....I have instrumental at the top....and my vocals beneath it.....Now when i want to export my tracks it makes me click on "MIDI"....If i dont click midi when i export it and it plays on windows media players it will just be blank! I will take pictures and eleaborate later today when i get off work!

Are you talking about Export Settings? What makes you click on MIDI?

You really need to give detailed description of your workflow when you have time.

You do know that MIDI is only data, it has no sound, don't you? It's like sheet music in the form of data. Soft synths use that data to produce sound, audio tracks, like vocals, have nothing to do with it.
