Yeah i was using music creator 6, And for some reason on that it made me do midi. Id have to go to process, apply effect and click midi. If i didnt do that nothing would be exported. It would just play but it would be blank. I just started using this so i assumed id have to do the same...But i tested it and i dont. So i could see how that confused yall.
The cause of the confusion was that in your post you wrote that you had to "midi" the tracks, and no-one had any idea what you meant, because a feature/function by that name does not exist, and you said you did it to vocal tracks, which simply doesn't make any sense. Had you talked about applying effects, everyone would have understood immediately. You see, we don't see what you see, so it's important to use correct terminology.
Now, above you're talking about bouncing MIDI soft synths to audio, applying FX, selecting the audio track in a correct way etc. and obviously with some confusions. It is not necessary in MC6 either. You can export soft synths to audio in MC6 without bouncing/freezing them, for sure. Not in MC6, or in any software, has it ever been necessary/possible to turn vocals into MIDI before export.
But that's past :o) Glad you got things working! I do know the frustration when creation is blocked by annoying technicalities.
Next, do a favour to yourself and us and add your system and soundcard specs in your signature. You'll save a lot of typing that way, when you need to come to ask more. Enjoy music making!
